Moyosore J. Onigbanjo SAN is a first-class litigator and arbitrator who has distinguished himself not only in the practice of Law but in service to his immediate community and the Nation. In recognition of his excellence in this regard the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, chaired by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Aloma Mukhtar GCON conferred Moyosore J. Onigbanjo SAN with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria on 23rd September 2013. Before this elevation, his unquestionable diligence and dedication to work and keenness for excellence had gained him recognition and numerous appointments notable amongst which are:
Appointment as an NBA prosecutor before the Body of Benchers and Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee on 9th July 2012 till July 2019.
Appointment as a Member of the Governing Council of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association on 30th March 2011.
Appointment as a Member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association on 26th November 2010.
Appointment as a Member of the Legislative Advocacy Working Group of the NBA on 23rd November 2010.
Appointment as a Notary Public by Honourable Justice Mohammed Lawal Uwais Chief Justice of Nigeria in the year 2001.
Moyosore J. Onigbanjo SAN’s gusto for more knowledge is evident in his constant quest to acquire the same this is irrespective of his numerous achievements. In 2017 he added two certificates to his cap from Harvard Law School after he duly completed two Short Courses on Negotiation and Leadership. It is worthy of note that Moyosore J. Onigbanjo SAN is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators United Kingdom.
Apart from the above, he constantly and effortlessly displays core competence in courtroom experience in commercial, other civil and criminal litigation particularly in the areas of Debt Recovery, Breaches and Enforcement of contracts, Companies Winding Up Proceedings, Receivership, Marine claims, Arbitration and Oil and Gas. He boasts of strong Leadership and Interpersonal communication skills, the ability to prioritize results, effective time management skills, self-motivation and has mastery at beating deadlines.
He is a philanthropist and as a result, has offered countless pro bono services to indigent citizens in this regard. He has successfully run his firm M.J. Onigbanjo & Co. for over 15 years, before resigning to take up the mantle as the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Lagos State.
He is a member of the Nigerian and International Bar Association. Moyosore J. Onigbanjo SAN is also a keen golfer.
