The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference (AGC) will be held in the beautiful city of Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the seat of her Government with a land area of 1,769 km2 (683 sq mi).
Abuja is known for being one of the few purpose-built capital cities in Africa, as well as being one of the wealthiest. Abuja pride itself not only as the Capital of Nigeria but also as a hub of political and economic activities in Nigeria and Africa at large. Abuja is a beautiful city with both natural and man-made tourist attractions, these include; Aso Rock – a large mountain behind the Presidential villa from which the villa was named, the National Assembly; a gigantic office complex that host’s the Senate and the House of Representatives; the headquarters of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) popularly called NNPC Towers is located in the Central Business District of Abuja, Usuma Dam, the IBB international Golf Course has a spectacular scenery and is always visitors’ delight and many more exciting places.
Abuja has hosted several National and International conferences and meetings in the past. Although mentioned a populous city, Abuja is known for its good road networks which makes commuting seamless.
The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is the only Airport in Abuja and main entry point into the City. There is also the Idu train station situated in an accessible location in town, which plies to and from Kaduna and Abuja. Abuja also boasts of standard relaxation spots with very good ambience.
